My name is Robert McGraw, and I’m an award-winning photojournalist and commercial photographer with more than 20 years of experience in public relations, commercial, and news photography. I’m passionate about storytelling through images and strive to capture moments that educate, inform, and inspire—focusing on the positive impact of everyday people doing extraordinary things.
I currently serve as the Photo Editor and Lead Photographer for the Butler Eagle, where I oversee visual coverage and take on a wide range of assignments, from breaking news and sports to features and community stories. Before that, I worked as a photojournalist for the Chillicothe Gazette, part of the USA Today Network.
I earned my undergraduate degree in photojournalism from Berea College and pursued graduate studies in photojournalism at Ohio University. Earlier in my career, I also worked in the broadcast news industry, where I gained valuable experience in visual storytelling across multiple formats.
In addition to my editorial work, I’m available for freelance, commercial, and portrait photography, bringing the same dedication and creativity to every project I take on.
