Adena High School finished in second place in the Scioto Valley Conference in football, basketball, and baseball during the last school year. Now, they look to make their field of dreams a reality and finish first in the SVC.

The Warriors are looking to start a new chapter in Adena history as they are aiming to defeat Chesapeake at Ohio University’s Convo on Saturday, March 9, 2019, in Athens Ohio. Huntington High School basketball player Elijah McCloskey credits his fellow teammates’ strong connection, support, and hard-work for letting him reach his goal of 1,000 points his senior year. “I’ve always been a team guy, I always enjoyed playing with them because at the end of the day those are your brothers,” McCloskey said. “You compete with them every single day. Local football rivalries heat up this autumn as football season starts for local schools. Who is the toughest? Who will up the ante? Who will acquire the coveted SVC 2018 golden football? This season will surely bring out the best in all the area players.
